ASX listed Lithium miner Kidman Resources and joint venture partner SQM (Sociedad Quimica y Minera de Chile) have renamed their joint venture company WA Lithium to Covalent Lithium.
According to a Company spokesperson, the move was largely symbolic to represent a strong bond between joint venture partners Australia and Chile. Much like the Covalent bond between molecules.
The future looks promising for Covalent Lithium as it wraps up the Detailed Feasibility Studies for a Mine and Concentrator and Refinery this Quarter.
Covalent Lithium plan to commission the Kwinana Refinery in 2021, with initial name plate capacity of 44,000tpa Lithium Hydroxide and 37,000tpa Lithium Carbonate.
The Spodumene Concentrate feedstock will come from Kidmans Mt Holland Mine and Concentrator.
Covalent Lithium’s Integrated Mine has entered a 3 yr fixed price take or pay agreement with two 3yr term options with Tesla.
