Perth based Zenith Minerals Ltd (ASX:ZNC) has announced a important find of lithium fertile pegmatite at their Split Rocks project located along the Forrestania Greenstone Belt in WA. The pegmatites were discovered 40 km north of Kidman Resources; (ASX:KDR) Earl Grey lithium pegmatite deposit, which yielded a deposit containing 189MT @ 1.5% Li2O in March this year.
Zeniths initial 4 meter composite assay shares a comparable composition to that of Kidman’s deposit, generating enthusiasm in the market for the potential of another large find. Zenith Minerals also reported that the best chemical signature came from the thickest pegmatite (77m downhole width), containing chemicals similar to the spodumene found at mines such as Greenbushes, Pilgangoora, Bald Hills and Earl Grey.
Zenith Minerals Ltd (ASZ:ZNC) is currently trading at $0.15 AUD.
