Albermarle’s proposed lithium plant to be constructed near Bunbury has been given environmental approval by the West Australian Government.
The construction effort will create an estimate of about 500 jobs, whilst another 500 employment positions will be available when the plant is in the operations phase.
It is Albermarle’s intention that most of the jobs created will be filled by residents living in the south west, an idea that is fully supported by Premier Mark McGowan.
McGowan has plans to meet with Albermarle in a bid to ensure the local people benefit from the new lithium hydroxide plant.
